Alana
Ross
Alana
Ross graduated top of her class with an Honours Degree in Biomedical
Science. Her studies focused primarily on the physiology and anatomy
of the body, with emphasis on the effect of the organ systems to disease.
One of the primary requirements of her degree was the effective communication
of scientific facts and theorys to individuals in the community,
students and professors. She was frequently involved in workshops
with physicians on case-studies and grant proposals.
Her work experience is diverse but has provided her with many valuable
assets. She worked in a dental office for 6 years, which has provided
her with a dental background, as well as the ability to communicate
effectively with patients and doctors in a medical setting. She also
worked at Toronto General Hospital during the SARS crisis, and worked
interactively with the doctors and hospital coordinators to develop
and effective and confidential way to admit patients.
In the past two years, Alana has done extensive research on laser
literature, with emphasis on Low Level Lasers. She has worked hands-on
studying the effects of the Low Level Laser on muscle relaxation,
pain relief and wound healing. She can integrate the information she
has obtained from literature and the individual case studies and communicate
it effectively. |
