Clinical
Unit with Plug-in Laser
The Clinical
Unit with Plug-in Laser treatment system is powered by a compact
console. The console is easy to operate with the option of using the
preset mode, which automatically calculates and displays treatment
times, or the manual set-up mode. The console is quick and easy to
set and makes preparing for treatments simple.
Three accessory ports provide the flexibility to use any combination
of accessories with either continuous or pulsed waveforms. The console
powers the MedX hand held low level laser and two hands-free, strap-on
Superluminous Diode (SLD) clusters. The handheld laser accessory is
ergonomically designed and provides a power of 200mW. The laser has
3 infrared diodes (wavelength of 880nm) plus a visible red guide LED.
The SLD clusters have 49 light diodes that provide light energy with
a combination of infrared (880nm) and visible red (660nm) diodes.
The clusters can be strapped on for hands-free application, allowing
for unattended treatment. Once activated, the console displays the
time and energy delivered for each port separately and automatically
turns itself off once treatment is completed.
The MedX phototherapy series uses light energy to trigger biological
changes in the tissues for relief of pain, wound healing, muscle relaxation,
tissue stimulation and prevention of edema (swelling).
